The Doors Are Now Open at the New Boca Grande Health Clinic

The new Boca Grande Health Clinic welcomed its first patients today, bringing expanded care, new technology, and familiar faces together at 280 Park Avenue.

“Today, we welcome patients to a new clinic capable of providing more of the advanced care they need, right here on the island,” said Mark Driscoll, CEO of the Boca Grande Health Clinic. “It’s an important step forward for care in Boca Grande, and we’re proud to open these doors to the community.”

The new clinic is designed to feel welcoming and comfortable for patients, while offering advanced technology and medical capabilities that significantly expand care on the island.

Advanced imaging, including on-site CT, X-ray, and ultrasound, allows patients to receive diagnostic testing on the island — often the same day — rather than traveling off-island and waiting weeks for appointments. Expanded laboratory services further support that care, making it possible for many important tests to be performed right here on the island.

The new clinic also strengthens the kind of care that has long defined the Boca Grande Health Clinic. Exam rooms are designed to support unhurried visits, with physicians typically spending about 45 minutes with each patient — allowing time for careful evaluation, meaningful conversation, and truly personalized care. Additional exam rooms for visiting specialists and a dedicated telehealth room also expand access to specialty care on the island.

An on-site retail pharmacy is expected to open later this year, making it easy to fill prescriptions right here on the island.

“One of the hallmarks of the Boca Grande Health Clinic has always been the time our physicians spend with each patient,” Driscoll said. “The new clinic supports that approach while giving patients more ways to receive care and connect with specialists without leaving the island.”

The entire first floor of the new clinic is protected by an active air and surface purification system, and negative-pressure urgent care exam rooms are designed for the best in patient and caregiver safety.

And there is more to come. Beginning later this summer, the former clinic building will undergo major renovations to create dedicated space for physical, rehabilitation, and occupational therapy services, with modern equipment and a hydrotherapy pool so patients of all ages can receive therapy here on the island.
